We arrived at the College about 6:30AM on Saturday and checked in with the Fair organizers. About 40 exhibitors were expected to arrive for the show that would last from 9 to 5PM. After finding our assigned area, we parked and proceeded to unload everything from our van. Of course things were more difficult as we had forgotten to load our wheeled cart and we had to walk through the rec area and take the elevator up two floors to the showing area. About 10 loads was sufficient to haul it all up. We were both tired and perspiring. Looked like it was going to be a very warm day. Thank heaven we were under a tree where there was promise of some shade. The exhibitors on the other end of the commons area were not so lucky and were stationed in the direct sun!
The fair appeared to be a very popular one in the area. Fair goers showed up all day to look at the art work and to hear the music that was provided. One of the bigger draws of the day was the Kids from Wisconsin.
We saw several friends that stopped by. It was a good day to catch up and to sell a bit of our inventory so that we would not have to load everything back up again. About 3:30 it was starting to look like rain, the crowds were dwindling and all agreed to break down the fair about 4 before getting wet. Several trips later down the stairs with our equipment and we were ready to leave. Plans were to store everything once again in the storage unit in Hales Corners for the next show on July 24th.
Stopped for dinner and watched the storm from inside where it was dry and the food was welcomed after a long day.
